Public Accomodations Testing for the District's Language Access Program

The Office of Human Rights (OHR) seeks to test 35 District government agencies on their ability to readily and appropriately serve limited and non-English proficient (LEP/NEP) customers in the following areas:  (1) over the phone; (2) in person; and (3) by way of US mail.

Candidates selected for the pilot testing program will receive training and an hourly rate of $17.00 per hours per test.  The minimum criteria for testers:

  • Must be bilingual (proficient in English and fluent in the non-English language) in Spanish, Mandarin, Amharic, Vietnamese, Korean, and French.
  • Must be flexible with assignments in terms of travel and time.
  • Must be available April - September 2009 to conduct periodic tests
  • Must be Authrorized to Work in the US
