DC PIRC Advisory Board Member Honored Cafritz Award
On May 17, 2010, the Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation awarded five members of the DC community for their distinguised and leading roles as DC government employees. Rehva Jones was recognized for her tenure with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). At OSSE, Ms. Jones was labeled a "performance guru" who used her expertise to improve the productivity of her staff. As an active, two year member of the DC PIRC Advisory Board, Ms. Jones participated in similar fashion. She encouraged parental engagement leaders to develop accompanying performance measures and provided overall strategic guidance.
