Internships at MCS
If you are a student in one of the universities in the DC, VA or MD area, consider completing your semester community hours at MCS! Students from various backgrounds have contributed to MCS' growth throughout the years while meeting their university language learning and community volunteer hours. In the past year, MCS has hosted students interested in varied subject matters including Latin American Politics, Literature and History, Conflict Resolution, Education, International Studies, International Law, Media, and Journalism. MCS thanks past and current interns for their continued support and committment!
Fall 2009
Tinawati
Soesianto began her internship with
MCS in October of 2009 with a special interest
in MCS' Youth Peace Makers program and website
design. Ms. Soesianto is
an undergraduate student at the University of
the District of Columbia. She is
majoring in Mass Media, Journalism with a
special interest in photography, feature
stories, press releases and hard news.
Emily Glick began her internship at MCS in September of 2009 with a commitment to practice her Spanish language skills and learn about the diverse DC community served by MCS' education programs with a special interest in Education and Law. Ms. Glick is an undergraduate student at American University majoring in Justice Law & Society and Spanish Language, with a minor in Chinese.
Emma Hardy began her internship at MCS in September of 2009 with an interest in learning about the history of DC's diverse Latin American community and Language. Ms. Hardy is an undergraduate student at American University and also involved with the universities Proyecto Amistad. Emma is majoring in Latin American Literature and Spanish Language.
Summer 2009
Ben
Lucas began his internship with MCS
in June of 2009 with a special interest in MCS'
Language Services Program. Mr.
Lucas is an undergraduate student at
Davison College in North Carolina majoring in
History and German. He provided much
support to MCS with his limitless
talents in language and technology
combined with endless energy to follow through
on each of his projects.
Fall 2008
Christina D'Annunzio
completed her 120 hours of internship with MCS
in the Fall of 2008. Ms.
D'Annunzio came to
MCS through Proyecto Amistad at
American University with a special interest in
MCS' Parents As Partners program. She is
an undergraduate student in the School
of International Service with a focus in
Language and Area Studies. She came to
MCS after completing a semester study
in Argentina's Catholic University in
Buenos Aires. Ms. D'Annunzio is
presently at the Beijing Language and
Culture University in Beijing, China.
