This day serves as a reminder to the nation to renew our efforts; to reunite missing children with their families and to make child protection a national priority. To further engage communities on these issues, NCMEC promotes the Take 25 Campaign, a national grassroots initiative encouraging parents, guardians, educators, and others to take 25 minutes to talk to children about their personal safety.
To learn more about the Take 25 Campaign and its implementation, NCMEC and the Multicultural Community Service will host a training session at the Josephine Butler Parks Center on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 9:30am to 11:30am. Additionally, all participating schools will receive FREE educational materials and fiveaways for students and parents. The training is free of charge and a light breakfast will be provided to all attendees. To RSVP email Russell Petty, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, rpetty@ncmec.org by May 7th.
